This place is yummy. I agree with another reviewer - it's not the most authentic Italian but fresh pasta with great flavor makes it a winner. The place is nice for a date or larger group. It has a good vibe. A lil too dark for me but that is just personal preference. They have a good deal right now with discounted wines for January and of course their restaurant week menu is fire. Good lil spot in south Willy.

I thought the food here was really good. It wasn't authentic, but the textures and flavors were so good. In terms of pricing it's very on par with New York prices. I really enjoyed the ambience and the waiter was very attentive and took care of my gluten-free friend. Unfortunately, one of my friends did get food poisoning from a dish that I did not try. That was obviously really unfortunate and did kind of make the experience less exciting but overall it was enjoyable besides that.

Food 8/10 A homey and traditional Italian spot located south of Williamsburg. I thought the appetizers were better than the main, and the tiramisu was stellar too - dare I say even the star of the show. The prosciutto was nice to start with, and I quite enjoyed the chewiness of the focaccia. The saffron pasta was quite interesting, although a little too watery for my preference. Atmosphere 8/10 Soft and dim lighting, a relatively large interior, and plenty of great conversations. Dark wooden surfaces, elegant and nothing too fussy. Service 8/10 Our host gave us great thoughts on the different cocktails, very friendly and solid experience overall.

I hadn't been here in a few years but the cocktails and food were still great. Prices are pretty reasonable for the area as well.

I honestly don't know why i wouldn't give this place 5 stars! The staff was so friendly, the food was so good and I can't wait to go back. The prices are reasonable and the portions are great.

What a great experience! The food was super tasty. Also, our server was very sensitive to my date's allergy and made sure the kitchen knew about it. Plus, our server informed us that a dish that traditionally comes with nuts wasn't made with them there. So, it gave her an opportunity to try a new dish. I do appreciate that kind of service. The restaurant itself is cozy and warm.

I absolutely love Baranos. Last night was my second time there in the last month. We booked reservations each time and were seated right away. The decor of the restaurant makes it feel very romantic and is chic! The food is absolutely amazing! Everything I have tried there so far has been nothing but the best quality and tastes delicious! Mouth watering actually! I told all my friends about this spot and definitely will keep this as must go to spot Atleast once a month. The waitress was great we had her both times we came in and she explained some menu items we were not sure about. Such a sweetheart! She had our whole table laughing. I love a restaurant that has great staff, food, and atmosphere. This is definitely my top pick in Williamsburg! I definitely recommend this spot to any and everyone! Thank you!

Run don't walk to Barano, especially for restaurant week! Food: as per usual, the quality of barano's food is flawless! Everything is delicious and tastes incredible fresh! We ordered from the restaurant week menu - so got arancini for our main, the cacio e Pepe and eggplant ravioli for our mains, and the olive oil cake and cannoli for dessert! Everything was so amazing!it's so hard choosing a favorite! Also usually restaurants pair down the portion sizes for restaurant week but barano didn't! We both wanted arancini for example, so each got our own app and I expected just 2 arancini's - instead they gave us each 5! Needless to say we were stuffed at the end of this meal! Service: I loved our waiter - he was so funny and really great! Very attentive! Ambience: I love the vibe of barano, it feels upscale and homey at the same time! Price: restaurant week dinner came out to $60 after tax and tip!
